The Challenge
Lost Jungle Adventure Golf, located on the outskirts of London, envisioned creating an epic, 36-hole adventure golf course, making it the largest of its kind in Europe. The course needed to capture the spirit of a jungle safari, with lush vegetation, wild animals, and unexpected challenges around every corner.
Lost Jungle approached MAG with the challenge of designing a sprawling, two-course setup—each with 18 holes—that would immerse players in a wild and thrilling environment. The client wanted a course that was both visually spectacular and challenging for all skill levels, from families to competitive players.
The additional challenge was to seamlessly integrate sustainable design elements and landscaping to enhance the natural jungle theme, while providing a captivating experience for players.
Our Approach
To meet the ambitious vision of Lost Jungle, MAG brought together its expert team of course designers, builders, and landscape architects to create a bold, interactive adventure. We split the course into two distinct 18-hole sections—The Jungle Trail and The Amazon Course—each offering unique challenges while maintaining a cohesive theme.
Our design focused on bringing the jungle to life with towering trees, flowing rivers, and life-sized animals placed throughout the course. MAG also incorporated interactive elements, such as swinging bridges, treetop platforms, and hidden tunnels to enhance the sense of adventure for players.
Course Features
- The Jungle Trail (18 Holes): This section takes players through dense jungle vegetation, past waterfalls, and around animal sculptures, such as elephants, leopards, and gorillas. The challenging hole designs incorporate natural elements like rocks and tree roots, making the course a true jungle experience.
- The Amazon Course (18 Holes): Featuring water obstacles, towering stone statues, and ancient ruins, this course transports players into the heart of the Amazon. Each hole is designed with varying levels of difficulty, offering an engaging experience for casual players and adventure seekers alike.
